My New Family 0.21 release!

Here it is people, the release of 0.21! I have to admit, this update was probably the toughest one to work on because I just wasn't as inspired as I usually am. Still, I hope you guys can enjoy this update somehow, feel free to tell me what you liked and didn't like!

Changelog:

  • Added six more ingame days
  • Added over 800 CG's
  • Added 29 Animations

Bugfixes/Tweaks:

  • Fixed a few gallery entries
  • Fixed a few typos

Like I said in the progress update yesterday, I will make a poll this week where you people can help me decide if I should switch between updates for each game. So now that a My New Family update is done, I would fully focus on My New Memories until that update is done, and then switch back to My New Family. If you guys want to vote for it, keep an eye out on my patreon page. It will be a public one but patrons will get higher vote power. Don't forget that if you are a patron you can switch tiers if you want to get the benefits for My New Memories during that time, without extra costs.

I don't know if it's entirely fair to give patrons more voting power JUST because they are patrons (they pay for something) since the updates are still released for free after a while, and just because you pay for something doesn't mean you like it more than someone who doesn't but... whatever, man. To each dev his own and I trust you and your judgement, Killer.

For the games, I see switching between games with each update as a good strategy especially because I'm in love with MNM. While MNF literally feels like "home" as a game, a game that I always feel comfortable while playing, MNM is a whole new adventure by itself, so almost anything is a big surprise. I say "almost" because it has similarities with MNF and this isn't a bad thing at all, since it gives that feeling of safety like "I've seen something similar before".

So all in all, it sounds like a good strategy, as long as you take a small break every now and then to avoid major problems like blocks, burnouts or worse.

Oh gods, your writing is the best! I've played a fair few VNs now, but there's nobody like you for the banter between characters. It's also amazing how you can move smoothly from making me smile at a cute moment, to laughing out loud at a one-liner or comeback. Keep up the good GREAT work!

Really good to have my new family back, like meeting up with an old friend, slipped back into it effortlessly, thankyou killer7. can't wait for the next adventure.
