My New Family
Progress Update | 07/02/2022
Hello there you wonderful and very wholesome people out in the world!
Another week, another progress update!
I wasn't able to release Beta 5 for 0.22 last week and I'm sorry for that. Real life appointments were taking up a lot of my time, I had to do some things that I pretty much neglected over the last few years. I should be good now, though, and can talk a bit more about 0.22.
As some of you know, My New Family will be three years old in August 2012. When I first started to work on it I didn't really have a plan for the ending in mind. But I think now I do and I can also talk about it with you guys. My New Family 0.22 ( which will be Chapter 17 ) won't be the last update for the game. There will be one more update after this ( 0.23, Chapter 18 ) which will end with a "banger", as the youngsters now say. After 0.23 there will only be one update, the "Ending" update, where you will get the timeskip and seeing all the girls with pregnant bellies etc. This update won't be a regular one and will probably not include six ingame days, I haven't really decided on that yet. But that doesn't mean My New Family is ending. I plan to also release My New Family 2 this year, which will play 18 years after the ending of the first game, featuring the "true" ending with all the girls in the harem etc. I will post more things I have in mind once 0.22 is released for everyone ( in the update post ), this is just something for you to keep in mind. 0.22 Will 100% release in february.
I also worked a bit more on My New Memories, changing up a few dialogues I had already written out. It's weird how this sometimes happens. It's like a sudden change of mind and I delete a huge chunk of already written stuff to change it - which usually made me feel quite bad because it felt like wasted time. Now it's the opposite, I think when I decide to rewrite certain passages ( or add new things ) it helps me see the whole thing from a different perspective again. For example, the dialogue with Jessica in Chapter I started completely different in earlier versions. It took me a few tries to make it feel right, at least for me, and I think it shows because most reactions to that event were positive. To be honest, I can't wait to put all my time into My New Memories again, I'm itching to continue the story and dive deeper into new territories in terms of writing. Todays render is Lina in a cute outfit, standing outside :).

It will be sad to see the end of MNF in it's current form especially with fiona story completely missing which we have been waiting for now, for such a long time. In the new MNF2, will this go the full 18 chapters or updates to where you will finish MNF?
I would love to know more about MNF 2. Considering where we have come from in the original game. Does it mean more women to bring into the harem or?
Still its kinda sad that MNF has to end, just please add the fiona story to spain with the mc, it wont be the same if you just include in new version you have planned, because it will make no sense given the situation in the story now, and her telling him she will take him to spain to presumably meet her family, 18 years later wouldn't work for obvious reasons..and more importantly are we going to see fiona pregnant because if anyone deserves something happy in her sad life it is her.
does this mean all the women in the harem become pregnant?
They pretty much all are pregnant right now except Fiona and the Doctor and concerning the Doctor (I've forgotten her name, sorry!) we really haven't been able to date her just yet, but by the end of 0.21 the process to date her as begun, that's if as playing as the MC you decided you wanted to impregnate them of course. I think you can have as many or as few girls in your harem as you want and who want but you will have to date them and get to know them on a personal level and you can decide if you want to impregnate them once you have got to know them and form a relationship with them. Very much many of the girls have their own back stories that are very much worth reading, especially Lucy, Fiona and Becca story lines. There is also little Alice to, which is a very interesting story which also concerns the MC, but its very much up to you in this game, who you want to be with and who you want to get pregnant or not.

there are a lot. remember only fiona and the doctor you cannot make them pregnant yet, they are the only two.

All good things must come to an end and Will begin a new, Really love and Appreciate the effort in making this one of the best I've read in my history of VNs (not including JP VNs).
And I already have a Slight prediction on the MNF 2 but hey, It's not really that big but important nonetheless.
It will definitely be nice to see the ending of the game, so much teasing about it with the talk about weddings and stuff. And now I'm already hyped for the second game, it will be a different experience defintely. I hope we don't lose any of the girls in the second game, though... because the age of older ladies such as Elaine were never specified, she looks like she's in her early 50s but I could be very wrong since she only has a bit of grayish hair.
And Killer, something should be mentioned about the game: I love harem endings as much as the next guy. But for the sake of the game's rep MAYBE MNF 2 should have options instead of just starting from the harem ending of the first game? It's fine by me having the harem ending as the true, concrete one. But people still gonna complain, y'know.
I would assume/hope that the mc of MNF2 won't be the mc of MNF1. Presumably either a son/daughter. So it's more "High dad with 20 wives and my 40 siblings", Imma gonna to my own thing over here with MY SO(s?), and the characters of MNF1 are more peripheral.

Not only that but, in-game, at least Sandra said that she wants the MC to try and have with their daughter the same relationship he has with her once the girl is of (legal) age. Gonna be optional of course, but it's set in stone that the game will have that (probably). I don't remember if there was similar dialogue with any of the other girls but I do remember this one with Sandra.
