I think i might have screwed up somehow. I had to get a new phone and lost everything so i had to start a new game. Well i did that and just got done with the part where you take Tanya to the sauna/hot tub. And i have yet to have Sandra sleep with me, when in my old save, it was almost instantly.

Maybe it's just me, and based on the other content I don't think it's intended, but the Alice relationship comes across to me as sort of Groomy/Peer Pressurey/Coerced, and sorta just a bit, well, rapey. IIRC the game flatout says she is leaving because she's out of money and doesn't know what she is going to do next, so she's highly dependant on the family... one in which everybody else (probably) is in a relationship with the MC. It's likely that, despite statements to the contrary, somebody in such a situation would feel that's a requirement for them as well.
However, I think there are several ways in which this could be alleviated, any of which would probably make it no longer a big issue
1. Her Mom wasn't just an employee at the bar, but owned it. So while she was raised in an orphanage (or maybe nanny who saw her as nothing more than a job), she gained control of the bar and a good chunk of money when she turned 18. She isn't leaving because she's broke, she's leaving because she has to get back to running the bar. She stays because she wants to, not because she has to. (takes out the whole financial dependancy aspect)
2. Becca gets the paperwork done before there is any suggestion of a romantic relationship between MC/Alice. (Also takes out the financial dependancy/expectation element) Currently, it almost feels like a reward for trying to start the relationship.
3. Switch the timeline a bit so Lucy is still very much on the fence as to whether she wants a romantic relationship with MC when Alice jumps into it Alice's happiness is what tips her over. (Largely eliminates the peer pressure/expectation elements)
I can guarantee you that nothing was forced with Alice, everything was in line with what she wanted, she only needed Sandra's and Lucy's help to get it done. Nothing there was because she doesn't know where to go or anything else since that would not matter, Becca already said that she will stay forever. The relationship she has to MC wouldn't matter there.
I did not get that feeling at all from her actions. I have to agree with Naj7000, I got that she wants to be aprt of the family and is for the first time i nher life happy, no rapey vibe at all.
Didn’t get that feeling. Her character lines up with what she desires. And she gets what she wants. Changes and rewards. Starting afresh. A whole new family that loves her for her. But we are also talking about a specific fictional setting here. So, you gotta keep that in mind as well. There have been games I have just stopped playing cause it didn’t even line up with the character or the even the way the political ideology, albeit a fictional one, were put in that were in opposition to the world that the dev had created.
ie. independence and individuality= bad (USA flag over a shanty town). Community and slavery= good. But, thats another story.
I am gonna humbly go back on my above comment about the the comment on how it felt that Alice was ‘not’ being groomed.
However after continuing play through it did leave a distaste in me, and tho I like the rest of the game and how its been written so far, I have to say I would rather Alice being left out of the circle of s**.
It does feel like she needs to do it to be part of the family and her only being just become of one after such a hard life now sees no other choice but to fall in line to stay loved by them, despite they all continue to say the opposite.
Yes, I understand its fantasy & fiction, I write it all the time etc. But, since its not my story, and I have the option to stop playing.

gonna be honest, I’m more than a little upset that you’re forced into forgiving Elaine. Personally, I’m pissed at her. That was a bullsht move, and I’m really not ok with forgiving her. With every other character you get to choose how you react to them, why the hell not with her?
Who said that you have forgiven her? If you know the MC then you should know that he didn't push Elaine away to not cause more pain and drama for his household, especially for someone like Sandra. He is enduring it but he didn't forgive her ( yet ), he did this for the households sake.

Another thing I noticed is redundant is how MC approaches the girls, which is basically always the same method (sad life + I don't judge you + I don't wanna make you do things you feel unconfortable with), thanks god you put some masochists in there eheh

It happens automatically. On pc your savefiles are in the appdata/renpy folder and on mobile the savefiles are in android/data/renpy/my-new-family<somenumbers> , so you can continue right away into 0.10 :).
It took me months. MONTHS! To notice that MC's character was meant to have Martin as his name. I was convinced the name was meant to match MC's, because I named him Martin, until the dialogues felt weird with the names being the same.
I really liked 0.10, it felt stronger than 0.9. I've really enjoyed following the game, although sometimes things feel not quite real enough. I think it's the dialogues. But it's very enjoyable otherwise
That's how it goes, you can't do anything "right" in the early stages in her eyes. Just make the choices you think are best, the rest will come quite some later. Lucy is a slow progress character
The easiest way is to always pick the top option in choices, this way you will get the best outcome with her :)
You can also skip everything when you start over, just hold ctrl or tap the "skip" button under the textbox, then it takes you just a few minutes till you are back at chapter 3

Are you playing on mobile? There is a bug with the mobile version at the moment were gallery unlocks appear and disappear, I will see if I can find a fix for that for the next version, there will probably a way to just unlock all gallery entries with a cheat in the end so you don't end up losing them again.
Yeah, I'm playing on mobile. I hope you can find a fix for this rather than using a cheat code. I'm worried future games may have similar issues and using a cheat code feels more like a bandaid solution. Would it help if I joined your discord to help report future instances of this?

I'm currently downloading the Android version of the game (for an obvious reason I guess) and I noticed that the size is A LOT smaller. Did you do this to make the download easier or is this the compressed version that I'm downloading? It's the only Android version that I saw here and on Patreon.
It's a mix of both. I was able to reduce the size on android a lot by compressing the images, the quality difference is not that extreme though thanks to the phone screens. it makes it easier for people with not so much phone space available and saves me from the headache that games that are over 2gb can't be installed on android devices ^^.

It will take me some time to get to 0.10 content because I had to delete my saves to be able to use the persistent saves thing (because they were from way before 0.6 and I didn't do it back in that time) and I must say that this ISN'T a bad thing because I love this game and will gladly play all over again. As I said before, if this was a "normal" game without adult content, it wouldn't matter because the whole story and the feeling are way bigger and more important. The adult stuff just make it a bit "realistic" if you know what I mean.

You can uninstall the app when I release the update ( in about 17 hours ). Your savegames are stored outside the game folder so you can uninstall the app and then just install the update like a new app once it's released :).
Well at first I came here for the lewd scenes, but I was fascinated of how well the story is driven, and I'm really expressed of how well the characters are designed. There were just some bugs and crashes during Animated Scenes, which is not really a problem cause I can save it before it crashes, and please add quicksave. And can't wait for .10. Overall the game was really good...

Hello! The normal android version refuses to start up even after multiple reinstalls/redownloads. The message that pops up says: "Could not extract private data." It happened on both Android 9 and Android 10.
I don't know if anyone else has the same problem, but if you somehow solved it, please fill me in.
Hmm, I never got that error before...Do you still have a old version of My New Family installed? Or maybe the compressed version is the way to go for now on Android :/
I have the same problem, although I uninstalled the 0.9 compressed version and installed it again, it was successful. However the 0.10 still could not be installed. Maybe a compressed version could work for android.

If you play on PC you don't have to do anything, your savegames are located in your appdata folder and you can play right away when 0.11 releases. I always give a hint on when you should save so you can continue right away :)!
this isn't a bug so i wasn't gong to say anything but the japanese dresses the girls are in are yukatas not kimonos just a minor difference in sleeve length and torso, also why is the male in a chinese outfit called Changshan when the Haorihakama or a yukata, which is unisex, would have been better
Guess they wanted to play a trick on MC and made him feel stupid for wearing something chinese :D. Or the dev is a pelican and doesn't know anything about asian stuff :P.

The 0.10.0 is as compressed as it can get for mobile sadly. I can't compress it anymore before it becomes visually unwatchable... :/
Hi! I just tried installing it on an android 9 phone and it worked. The one I can't install it on is android 8.

Killer7 small bug in the gallery with the second one from Sun it continues after the lewd scene all the way to the end of 0.9
Was interesting to see though as it showed me some of what happens when you not in a relationship with Sandra which I never got to see.
