I've been through a lot replaying the game and I must say: WHAT A MASTERPIECE.
Not only the two updates (yeah, it took me so long to replay the game that by the time that I was close to the content of 0.10, 0.11 was already out ^^") but the game itself. 0.11 was *one* of my favorite updates and I'm really looking foward for 0.12 (which I bet that it's gonna end with a cliffhanger of Sandra "announcing" her pregnancy).
Just as a side note: I'm really worried about the possibility that Martin was faking his near-death status, and that the MC might need to pull some John Wick-style shit to save/protect the family. Like REALLY worried...
Great game. My only concern is that the dialogue box often covers the genitals when there is a scene. Could you perhaps lower it or make it that it wont disrupt the game.

Turns out there is some policy thing with Patron so that's why, in their discord I've discovered there is a code in their FAQ section that fixes the issue, I don't know if I can say it here so I recommend joining their discord
Yeah, at the moment the love route that leads you into having a harem is the route I'm working on. I think this is better than working on several routes since this means you get more content with each update ( when I focus on one path ). I do plan on making single girl routes after I finished the harem route though.
Minor plot hole, But when Lucy is talking to Sandra about showing her her secret place where she's been going after school, Sandra immediatel jumps to wanting to bring her bikini so she can sit on the beach, when, from what I remember/understand, she shouldn't have any idea where Lucy's secret spot is, much less that it's a beach on the water.
Good update so far, still haven't finished it. Though I did notice that some animations can get pretty choppy on android at least. Specifically the second animation during sex scenes.
Yeah I think that's just something that is bound to happen on android... I will see if I can fix that for 0.12, the animations are always the chug part of an update. Maybe when I change the codec and lower the framerate to 30fps it will work better. I will give that a try in 0.12.
I really like the new Sandra story. It felt like you gave up on her for a while. This new pregnancy story makes her relevant again. Great work on 0.11 man!

Hi fam - cracking game, really engrossed in the story line - one thing though - in the 2nd chapter the MC thinks that he (I) made a mistake with Lucy, but the only scene I had with her was the one at the beach where the MC had the dream about Melissa - how do I get in to a relationship with her as well?

Love the game! This, The Headmaster, and Lucky Paradox are leagues above the other games in the genre I've played (which is saying more than I want to admit :p ).
The only thing I want out of the game is for it to be less linear. Systems that let me build relationships with the characters at my own pace would be hugely appreciated. I know that's a big ask and would mean restructuring things greatly if it tied to the main story, since so many of the events assume progress with all the characters.
Maybe the less linear aspects could be to unlock extras with each character once core relationship status has been achieved? For example, once you have a relationship with Sandra, you have the option to learn to cook for her or something and it wouldn't tie to any progress in the main story, but would unlock a bonus scene. Or you could save up money and buy something for Becca (for the thought, not that she couldn't afford it). Maybe you could work out enough to lift Lucy and Alice on your biceps like an old beach bodybuilder, idk :)
If none of that ever happens, I still love the game! Just thought I'd throw it out there.
Btw there's a game that has a character that looks extremely similar, even the clothing in the picture to Sandra, I'm not sure but I think they stole your characters image man. Idk much about it but would gladly give any info I can if you'd like.

I think i might have screwed up somehow. I had to get a new phone and lost everything so i had to start a new game. Well i did that and just got done with the part where you take Tanya to the sauna/hot tub. And i have yet to have Sandra sleep with me, when in my old save, it was almost instantly.

Maybe it's just me, and based on the other content I don't think it's intended, but the Alice relationship comes across to me as sort of Groomy/Peer Pressurey/Coerced, and sorta just a bit, well, rapey. IIRC the game flatout says she is leaving because she's out of money and doesn't know what she is going to do next, so she's highly dependant on the family... one in which everybody else (probably) is in a relationship with the MC. It's likely that, despite statements to the contrary, somebody in such a situation would feel that's a requirement for them as well.
However, I think there are several ways in which this could be alleviated, any of which would probably make it no longer a big issue
1. Her Mom wasn't just an employee at the bar, but owned it. So while she was raised in an orphanage (or maybe nanny who saw her as nothing more than a job), she gained control of the bar and a good chunk of money when she turned 18. She isn't leaving because she's broke, she's leaving because she has to get back to running the bar. She stays because she wants to, not because she has to. (takes out the whole financial dependancy aspect)
2. Becca gets the paperwork done before there is any suggestion of a romantic relationship between MC/Alice. (Also takes out the financial dependancy/expectation element) Currently, it almost feels like a reward for trying to start the relationship.
3. Switch the timeline a bit so Lucy is still very much on the fence as to whether she wants a romantic relationship with MC when Alice jumps into it Alice's happiness is what tips her over. (Largely eliminates the peer pressure/expectation elements)
I can guarantee you that nothing was forced with Alice, everything was in line with what she wanted, she only needed Sandra's and Lucy's help to get it done. Nothing there was because she doesn't know where to go or anything else since that would not matter, Becca already said that she will stay forever. The relationship she has to MC wouldn't matter there.
I did not get that feeling at all from her actions. I have to agree with Naj7000, I got that she wants to be aprt of the family and is for the first time i nher life happy, no rapey vibe at all.
Didn’t get that feeling. Her character lines up with what she desires. And she gets what she wants. Changes and rewards. Starting afresh. A whole new family that loves her for her. But we are also talking about a specific fictional setting here. So, you gotta keep that in mind as well. There have been games I have just stopped playing cause it didn’t even line up with the character or the even the way the political ideology, albeit a fictional one, were put in that were in opposition to the world that the dev had created.
ie. independence and individuality= bad (USA flag over a shanty town). Community and slavery= good. But, thats another story.
I am gonna humbly go back on my above comment about the the comment on how it felt that Alice was ‘not’ being groomed.
However after continuing play through it did leave a distaste in me, and tho I like the rest of the game and how its been written so far, I have to say I would rather Alice being left out of the circle of s**.
It does feel like she needs to do it to be part of the family and her only being just become of one after such a hard life now sees no other choice but to fall in line to stay loved by them, despite they all continue to say the opposite.
Yes, I understand its fantasy & fiction, I write it all the time etc. But, since its not my story, and I have the option to stop playing.

Who said that you have forgiven her? If you know the MC then you should know that he didn't push Elaine away to not cause more pain and drama for his household, especially for someone like Sandra. He is enduring it but he didn't forgive her ( yet ), he did this for the households sake.

In spite of all this, I really don't underatand why they're calling each other "friends" and not "family", or "roommates" instead of "siblings", it's really tiresome (though having to change that mentally while reading helps me stay awake longer, so maybe it's not that big of a problem). Another thing I noticed is redundant is how MC approaches the girls, which is basically always the same method (sad life + I don't judge you + I don't wanna make you do things you feel unconfortable with), thanks god you put some masochists in there eheh

Lucy needs time because she had the worst past. But no worries, things with her will get more serious very fast if you continue to include her in your path.

It happens automatically. On pc your savefiles are in the appdata/renpy folder and on mobile the savefiles are in android/data/renpy/my-new-family<somenumbers> , so you can continue right away into 0.10 :).
It took me months. MONTHS! To notice that MC's character was meant to have Martin as his name. I was convinced the name was meant to match MC's, because I named him Martin, until the dialogues felt weird with the names being the same.
I really liked 0.10, it felt stronger than 0.9. I've really enjoyed following the game, although sometimes things feel not quite real enough. I think it's the dialogues. But it's very enjoyable otherwise

Is it possible to follow paths for other characters without doing Sandra's? Was playing through and seems not doing her path is blocking the others.
For now you need Sandra to enable the harem, she is the enabler.

If you are on mobile then you can swipe up or click the hide button. But I will look into a way to not make the textbox so annoying for 0.12 :)!

Yeah I fixed that dialogue for 0.12, Lucy was supposed to tell her beforehand it's at the beach.

You have to take revenge on Tanja and do the good guy route with her during that revenge in order to start the love relationship with Lucy.
You also have to be in a relationship with Sandra.
The easiest way is to always pick top option in choices ( except during maddies second test ). This way you will unlock all girls and all scenes :).

A8 is a weaker phone. That could be it. But this game is not that heavy so that should not be it.

It happens automatically. On pc your savefiles are in the appdata/renpy folder and on mobile the savefiles are in android/data/renpy/my-new-family<somenumbers> , so you can continue right away into 0.10 :).

It took me months. MONTHS! To notice that MC's character was meant to have Martin as his name. I was convinced the name was meant to match MC's, because I named him Martin, until the dialogues felt weird with the names being the same.
I really liked 0.10, it felt stronger than 0.9. I've really enjoyed following the game, although sometimes things feel not quite real enough. I think it's the dialogues. But it's very enjoyable otherwise
