By that I mean how the characters refer to each other because right now, it feels kind of awkward that they always call the main character their "big roommate". This is the kind of title I'd want to change, and no, I don't mind if that would be incest then. If I can, how? What am I supposed to do?

So I play on android and halfway through my playthrough i lost the ability to save and interact with menu were you can save and load, skip and such so everytime i play i now have to rely on an auto save because don't wanna start again and lose all my progress, all those functions i mentioned are nowhere to be see just the games dialogue, so is their anyway to fix this? i've tried plenty to undo hide if that was what it is but to no avail. if not its fine i guess...
During the feast, there is a dish on the table that looks like a cake wrapped in bacon...with a duck on top...Is that something created just for the game or is that a real life dish(if it is a real food, what is its name)?
Probably just a model used for the game, not an actual dish. The developer probably has a lack of food models to use in the game (like many of the other VNs), so they use what they have available (or find funny). Like the running gag in this game with pancakes. There's literally no one alive who could eat pancakes literally everyday for multiple meals and be fine or not grow tired of it after a while lol.
Same goes with the steak and potatoes for breakfast they had one time. Just used what was available instead of finding/making a bacon and eggs model to use.
Are you trying to load a savegame that was not made at the end of 0.14? This is usually the error you get in this case. If hitting "rollback" doesn't fix it, then I would try donwloading 0.14 and try saving when the game tells you to save again. Use this savegame then to play 0.17.
For some reason my computer didn't unzip it correctly. I deleted it and unzipped it again, then it worked fine, the folder even looked different after that ... first install showed blank files on the folder icon, second time it was showing an image, so I knew something was different, it's been working fine now. But yeah, I also get the error when I try to load a previous save that's too far back into 0.14.
And also, OMG ... the scene with all three redheads in 0.17, holy shit ....... thank you for that. I cannot wait to see more -
What happened to the Gallery? 0.17 has gotten rid of most of the unlockable scenes for the women. In 0.14 Becca has 10 unlockable scenes in the gallery, but only 2 in 0.17. Dianna has been completely removed from 0.17's Gallery.
if you want the gallery for 0.1-0.14 than you will have to DL 0.14 it will have the gallery for chapters 1-9. the new updates starting with 0.15 and going to current is like a new season and will have gallery for current chapters
I don't know if you're ever willing to go back and edit completed versions. If you ever are, I'd highly recommend considering an option to rush up to and hug Alice as soon as she says Martin is her father/landlord.
I completely love what you've done with almost the entire story line. However in that one scene being forced to simply stand there feels completely wrong to me. I understand that change would require changes to other scenes later as well, but I think it would offer a much more fulfilling story option.
Honestly, it was right for the script. Kind of wrong, yes, but it set the pace for the MC about getting closer to Alice. It makes the scene at the hotel and the one at the house later on a lot easier to set the overall progress of their relationship.
And btw Alice would just freak out if the MC straight up hugged her, even with the whole "you're my brother" thing. Respecting someone else's space is important.
I keep getting an error has occurred and a giant line of code on 0.17. Am i doing something wrong when installing it?? Hoping I don't gotta lose my progress to fix it.

The Game is Great Seriously, Sure their are grammar errors or spelling here and their but I find that funny in some ways also the touching feels backstory time sometimes seems irrelevant to the situation at hand since its brought up alot and seems to be their for exposition but honestly i ain't complaining cause once again i find it hilarious and I get to mock it (not in a bad way mind you) just the fact they bring the character circumstance alot y'know i treat it like those spanish drama which are overly dramatic i've only ever seen in sitcoms and the like, all the characters are the best i see some saying this is best and giving criticism but i can't fault any because they all become beloved the more you play, the banter and wittyiness of them all I absolutely adore, some really emotional moments i really like and have a tear in my eye, the scenes are godly and y'know about that... people down below are talking about the scenes, sex and incest and the Intricacies , i don't think these people regular certain sites and such (idk maybe) but all that becomes commonplace when you've play alot of these types of games and they seem like normies who maybe stumble here (just my opinion don't be offended)(i could be wrong) honestly I love this game and all the characters they all have a place in my heart now and brought me joy and happiness seriously keep up the good work and don't change whatever your doing cause its perfect.

Visual Novels are one of those weird forms of media that find themselves sitting between two other forms of media, those being picture books and video games. As a result, all of them tend to lean toward either being more like a game or being more like a picture book, and My New Family is a great example of the latter. There is basically no gameplay, you make a few decisions along the way, but they all ultimately boil down to whether or not you want sex scenes with a character or not, and there's no other "gameplay". I'm not saying this is a bad thing, some people might prefer it, but its definitely not for me, I prefer something more interactive. Regardless, even if its not my cup of tea, I'd say the overall quality of this VN is pretty good.
So far, I really like the game Killer7. But figured I'd give my criticisms to help make the game better.
1) I know that renders and the animation and stuff is really time consuming and such, but perhaps some different positions when they have sex? There's basically 4 different positions and that's all they do. The same for sleeping positions, they're all in the exact same pose.
2) The grammar is pretty.. Tough. For the most part, it's easily understandable but there's quite a bit that can be polished up.
3) The timing of stuff. Everything is extremely sped up it seems. Contains spoilers here *************SPOILER************ Like when Sandra gets pregnant. He's been there just 2 months, and she's already had her period twice and already was going on her third time, and then already pregnant before the third one. Not to mention it takes more than a few days to start getting pregnant and then miss your period. Usually a pregnancy test won't even pick up on possible pregnancy unless she's been pregnant for about 6-7 days already. And they literally just started trying like 3 days ago in the game.
4) There's a few places in the game where the text doesn't match up (it seemed like) or perhaps the dialogue was messed up and could use some more commas. Like one part it seemed like MC and one of the FMCs were talking about MC's father or something, and they used MC's name to refer to the father.
That is because this is just a story! I keep forgetting that myself, too. It's not supposed to be a real life documentary. Though, the part about it being incest is totally false. I mean, they are all STEP sisters, or cousins, etc. The only true blood relation he has is with Becca (his Landlady/Mother.) Hell, if it was they would cause all sorts of problems! Anyway, as you have only started playing, I would say carry on with it. BTW, did you get the patch that changed it from Landlay, tenant etc. to the proper titles? It makes the game so much better! As I am not a girl, I do not know about how periods work, so I guess I will have to agree with you on that one! Hope it was ok to reply! Killer7 VERY rarely does!
Yeah, I got the patch that has the proper titles. While I don't really care if it's incest or not, I've never been a fan of the whole "tenant/landlord" thing. Just really breaks the story for me. And haha, nah man. They're half-siblings. They are blood related. Step-siblings are only related by marriage, so no blood connection, where half-siblings have one of the same parents. In this case, for Sandra and Lucy, it's through Becca, and for Alice, it's through the MC's father. So they are all officially blood related, so it's very much true incest lol. None of the step-sibling porn that people make lol. Yeah, I understand it's a story. Just breaks that immersion though when timelines are a bit condensed. And yeah, periods are a bit tricky. Usually every 3-4 weeks is when it starts up again. So it's not always exactly 4 weeks before it happens again on the dot, but periods are usually pretty regular unless something happens. So it's pretty crazy when Sandra is having a period like every 2 to 2.5 weeks lol
Yeah, the whole tenant/landlord thing threw me for a loop. I was always told that true blood relations are only kids who have the same mother and father. So, if a mother has sex with 2 different father then the kids are not blood related. Oh well, you learn something new every day, and, thinking about it I guess it makes sense. I am not really bothered by the whole incest thing, either. Well, I may be in real life but I doubt it! I am a pretty laid back guy. Like my favourite VN's are true lesbian titles with no men in the story whatsoever. But they are pretty hard to come by. Well, in the "realistic looking character" form, anyway. The cartoony ones are quite plentiful. My favourite ones are Kindred Spirits - On The Roof, (quite expensive and long, but worth it for me,)and two free ones, First Snow and I can't Believe The Most Popular Girl In School Is A Lesbian Just Like Me (which is a gorgeous story!) just like First Snow is too! And, yes, you are right about the immersion. Again, it was with the tenant/landlord bit with me. Thank you for the reply.
I think if you check out the discord you would see that the grammar is fine for the most part. It's just how I word things and my proofreader keeps that in, there is no reason to nitpick about that since I'm not a native english speaker :P.
And the pacing is not really sped up. Ingame weeks are six days instead of seven and the Pregnancy with Sandra already started during the vacation - That's when she said she will stop taking the pill. So, about 3 ( ingame ) weeks later, she doesn't get her period when she is supposed to and makes pregnancy tests. It all matches up if you read everything carefully ;).
Haha, sorry. I wasn't trying to be insulting or anything. English was one of my majors during my university days. It's one of those things that I always notice. Plus the whole "anything can be better" mentality that I have. I agree though, the grammar is definitely fine for the most part, but it's my lizard brain saying "but it can still be improved." I really enjoy the game though! For not being finished, it's actually still really long, haha. Also, I actually didn't know you weren't a native English speaker!
Ah, that makes a little more sense with weeks being six days versus seven. I wasn't really confused about the timing of her pregnancy, really. It was more that it seemed she was having more periods for a month and a half or two months worth of time than would seem normal. Though, women are all different so I don't really know lol. I still really enjoy the game.

So I have completed Chapter 9, and, to be honest it's OK. So why did it take me to chapter 9 to find that out? I don't know. Maybe I thought it would get better. But, all Sandra and M.C. do is either have sex. go to bed and shower together. And then, Sandra leaves him all day to go and do something else! If she had a job it would be more believable. So, MC has to find about 12 more other women to have sex with! Couldn't he at least go with Sandra sometimes? Or maybe get another hobby besides impregnating half the women in the US!? Sandra treats him like a lap dog! I think she is totally wrong for him I do not like her very much at all. Now Sun or Maddie on the other hand would be perfect for the MC! I really love their characters, especially Maddie and wish Killer7 put her as MC's love interest instead. Well, I guess she is in a way, but then, so are about 12 other women! The MC would have 12 kids with 12 different women if he got them all pregnant. And what about Sun? Does Sandra even know about MC and her and then there's Soo! Man there is more sex in here than an hour long porno! But I guess that's what makes this a STORY! It's so unbelievably far fetched that it would never happen in real life! In fact, it's the most unbelievable and far fetched Visual Novel I have read. I guess that's why I got Chapter 9. But, whether I carry on with it I am not sure. But I do like the characters in this one. They do look quite realistic. And so do the body parts! Thanks Killer7! ALso, sorry for SOOOOO many comments! I deeply apologise!
Personally, I would say that Sandra is filling the role of housewife, the family matriarch, which is a full-time job. I admit she does seem a little 2-D, but she just spends so much time shuttling between family members, trying to keep the family together.
OK< but she never offers to take him with her when she goes anywhere! She says something like, "we will have more time tomorrow, " and it never happens. She buggers off somewhere else without him. Even when she went to Elaine's she went without him. And I thought she wanted them to do more bonding. No, sorry, to me, Sandra is the worst choice for a wife. She seems quite selfish actually. It should be Sun or Maddie. My money would love to be on Sun! She is amazing! I loved her character from the very start and her whole family was amazing too! But, as mentioned before it IS only a story. And I did play chapters 8,9 and 10. At least there is a little more story in those and not just sex! Oh well. On to the next!
I think for me, my favourites are Lucy and Maddie for love/sex and Fiona for a balanced relationship: it really is like a couple of besties or close siblings.
EVERY girl you meet is a potential love interest, the game is a harem so you can get ALL girls at once. The only girl you have to get 100% is Sandra, after that you can decide if you want Lucy, Alice, Maddie, Becca, Mary and Elaine as well. All the household girls are Love Interests ;).
And Sandra knows about ALL girls you meet. Sun even meets her later in the game and they talk to each other. There is no secrecy between MC and any girls that he sees - Lucy even knows he keeps dating Tanja ( if you go that route ).
Sorry to keep asking questions, but, when I was playing the gane Killer7 jumped in and said that I hadn't gone down the Lucy route. But, I never saw a Lucy route. Now I am on chapter 4 and on vacation and Lucy is still a little cold towards me. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to get the Lucy route. I know I might have to go back towards the start of the game, but I do not mind that. I never saw anything about it in the game. I have ALWAYS chosen to be nice and never nasty to anyone. Not even Tanja, even though I with there was an option to defend Lucy. Thank you very much! PS, thanks for the update to change the family members back to their proper titles! I really appreciate that.
Did you do Tanja revenge route with Lucy that how soppost develop relationship with Lucy helping her getting revenge on Tanja always pick top choice also if you relationship with Sandra that connects with Lucy route
I don't think I did, but I can't remember. I think I was thinking I was too new to get involved. It seems a long way back now! But this would definitely explain it. This game is huge! I will have to go back through my saves and have a look. Also, Killer7 said that I should have picked all the top answers in the test with Maddie. Like an idiot, I got all the answers right because that's what I thought you had to do. So, I looked up the answers online. Thank you again!

That was where I made my mistake then. I got all the answers correct on the second quiz. I had to look them up though. I never realised you had to get them wrong. As for the choosing every top choice I did that from the start, I think! Maybe on next play through I will get Lucy's route. But I can't see that happening for a few days. I do not find the story engaging enough to play it through again so soon. I have A few more VN's I want to try out first. The City Of Broken Dreamers looks really good. So does Depraved Awakenings. And then there's Childhood Friends, C.L.I.T. LOL So many! But thank you for the reply.
You misunderstand: to get the good routes, choose the 1st option every time EXCEPT for the second quiz. You need to get those right for Maddie's route.
I am a bit weirded out. I have just started playing this it feels really strange. What is with this Landlady/Landlord, Tenant thing? You only, usually have a Landlord/Landlady when you rent a property, not when you are 4 years old. This is weird! They are usually your parents or guardians when you are a child. And why did he call Sandra household and half roommate? Didn't he really mean step-sister? Is there something I have missed? I know it's a strange thing and it looks quite a good game so far, but these terms are freaky and putting me off playing.
It's due to Patreons rules. And a bit of a workaround on the incest thing. It is rather confusing at times, but you get used to it. Some of the words have multiple meanings as well. For instance, landlord can either be father, or parents.

Not that strange of a question, I myself was wondering the same at first. Many of the relationships get changed. Aunt, niece, nephew>neighbor; cousin>friend; brother, sister, siblings>roommate(s); mom, mother>landlady; old landlady/landlord>grandma/grandpa, etc. And all the girls (mom, sisters, aunt, cousin) are blood relatives. It is a great game though, I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Even throws you on the feels train.

Honestly, just finished .14 and I loved it, good laughs, good drama, good scenes, and awesome characters, I thought it would he weird but this game made me immersed in the characters and the world they live in, they had different personalities and managed to make me laugh. One of the best visual novels I have played (with sexual content) on itch.io. 10/10
Every time i try i cant seem to continue the Fiona path, so when i reach the path line with Tanja it says i cant follow this path due to not continuing with fiona. Am i missing something? Are there curtain decisions i need to make for this to work?
Where are you getting stuck with loading it? If it's simply loading it all you need to do is use the MyNewFamily.exe it's the only one with the image of lucy tied to it
Finish 0.14 on your phone, then, depending on your android version you have to do the following:
Android 11: Navigate to Android/Data/my.n.family/files/saves folder, copy all files into a different folder and delete the app. Then install 0.17, start it once and close the app. Then navigate back into the folder and put the save files in there again
Android 10 or below: You can just delete 0.14 ( if you saved at the end like the game told you to ) and then install 0.17 and continue with that savegame.
If the saves folder doesn't show up you can just try to start a new game. The game will give you a error message but you can still hit "Menu" on the bottom and save. Then exit the app and copy your backed up save files into the Android/Data/my.n.family/files/saves folder

Sorry to tarnish what looks like stellar reviews. For whatever reason, after downloading, the story wont continue at the end of 0.16. Not really sure what the deal is, i've tried going back to 0.14 making a new save from scratch, but that didn't solve it. Anyone have any ideas?
I think a lot of those issues are because of Renpy 7.4.2 , I'm currently downgrading to 7.3.5 again and will upload those versions here soon. Give me a bit.

I'm facing a serious problem with multiple games.... I just want to know whether this is my phone pixel 4 xl's problem or something with the software with which the game is made.
I played the entire game until .16 update. Then i downloaded and installed the .17 update. Once I did that the game opens, but gets stuck up on the opening page where there are options to start, load etc. No matter how many times I try pressing any of the options there is no reaction. So then I once again downloaded .14 version.
Then I installed it and it was working. But when i install the .17 update again, the whole above mentioned problem repeats. Killer, I'd like your opinion on this as well.
I'm facing this problem with other games like Dark Magic by F.Lord, Virtues by Nomeme & WS by BM_Rec. All this started only after the latest updates. Please help me. Killer if you can check with your peers I'd be greatful. Because I'm playing multiple games in my phone and I just don't want to reset everything and lose all the data. Because my Android version is 11 it doesn't allow you to save the game's progress in another folder and paste it back to the data folder. You'll see my problem once you see how many games I currently have in my phone.

Nope, now I'm sure of it..... I completely reset my phone and once again downloaded 0.14v and started it and it went on smoothly.... But when I downloaded and installed 0.17 it got stuck.... Now I'm sure the problem is not in my phone..... Or could it be possible that the problem is particularly for Google phone users.....?

Yes.... I had played until 0.16, then i downloaded 0.17 and installed where this problem started.... Then after uninstalling the whole thing I downloaded 0.14 and installed it and that version is working just fine.... But when I installrd 0.17 on top of 0.14 the problem started.... It must have something to do with the renpy software or it's updates....
I've tried everything Killer, I have even reset my phone to check if the problem was with my phone.... But nope, the problem might be with the software with which you are developing the game... Renpy was it????
Majority of the problem I think is with the latest Android version 11.... People are going to regret it if they install their 11 update.... I'm regretting big time....
No, it's not Ren'py, it's Android 11 fucking up. You need a file browser app to locate your savefiles now. The persistent savefiles also won't work anymore with Android 11, so you have to manually back them up etc :/.
I have an app built in which lets me find the data file and save those files to another folder or external storage, the problem is pasting them back to the data folder, it doesn't allow you to do that.... What a fucked up situation I'm in.... But you told to the other guy that you downgraded the re'npy version and again uploaded the file right.... Can you do that to the android version of the file as well killer, because there is something still bugging me... If it is Android 11's fault, then why is it that 0.14 version is working fine but not 0.17.... Even your previous upload 0.16 was working well... When was your re'npy software updated... Was it after you released 0.16 or before.... Can you please do us this favor, I'll be grateful..... It'll help you fix similar problems in the future.... Coz, you know, sooner or later everyone's gonna update their phone to Android 11 eventually....

Hm, this sounds like a weird issue...
If you are on Android 10 or lower, I would try a uninstall of the app and see if that fixes it. I never heard of that one before...

Are you trying to load a savegame that was not made at the end of 0.14? This is usually the error you get in this case. If hitting "rollback" doesn't fix it, then I would try donwloading 0.14 and try saving when the game tells you to save again. Use this savegame then to play 0.17.
For some reason my computer didn't unzip it correctly. I deleted it and unzipped it again, then it worked fine, the folder even looked different after that ... first install showed blank files on the folder icon, second time it was showing an image, so I knew something was different, it's been working fine now.
But yeah, I also get the error when I try to load a previous save that's too far back into 0.14.
And also, OMG ... the scene with all three redheads in 0.17, holy shit ....... thank you for that. I cannot wait to see more -

What happened to the Gallery? 0.17 has gotten rid of most of the unlockable scenes for the women. In 0.14 Becca has 10 unlockable scenes in the gallery, but only 2 in 0.17. Dianna has been completely removed from 0.17's Gallery.
if you want the gallery for 0.1-0.14 than you will have to DL 0.14 it will have the gallery for chapters 1-9. the new updates starting with 0.15 and going to current is like a new season and will have gallery for current chapters
I don't know if you're ever willing to go back and edit completed versions. If you ever are, I'd highly recommend considering an option to rush up to and hug Alice as soon as she says Martin is her father/landlord.
I completely love what you've done with almost the entire story line. However in that one scene being forced to simply stand there feels completely wrong to me. I understand that change would require changes to other scenes later as well, but I think it would offer a much more fulfilling story option.
Honestly, it was right for the script. Kind of wrong, yes, but it set the pace for the MC about getting closer to Alice. It makes the scene at the hotel and the one at the house later on a lot easier to set the overall progress of their relationship.
And btw Alice would just freak out if the MC straight up hugged her, even with the whole "you're my brother" thing. Respecting someone else's space is important.

It put me back into the game but when I continued it said it was the end of 17.0. I rolled back more and the error reappeared.

The Game is Great Seriously, Sure their are grammar errors or spelling here and their but I find that funny in some ways also the touching feels backstory time sometimes seems irrelevant to the situation at hand since its brought up alot and seems to be their for exposition but honestly i ain't complaining cause once again i find it hilarious and I get to mock it (not in a bad way mind you) just the fact they bring the character circumstance alot y'know i treat it like those spanish drama which are overly dramatic i've only ever seen in sitcoms and the like, all the characters are the best i see some saying this is best and giving criticism but i can't fault any because they all become beloved the more you play, the banter and wittyiness of them all I absolutely adore, some really emotional moments i really like and have a tear in my eye, the scenes are godly and y'know about that... people down below are talking about the scenes, sex and incest and the Intricacies , i don't think these people regular certain sites and such (idk maybe) but all that becomes commonplace when you've play alot of these types of games and they seem like normies who maybe stumble here (just my opinion don't be offended)(i could be wrong) honestly I love this game and all the characters they all have a place in my heart now and brought me joy and happiness seriously keep up the good work and don't change whatever your doing cause its perfect.

Visual Novels are one of those weird forms of media that find themselves sitting between two other forms of media, those being picture books and video games. As a result, all of them tend to lean toward either being more like a game or being more like a picture book, and My New Family is a great example of the latter. There is basically no gameplay, you make a few decisions along the way, but they all ultimately boil down to whether or not you want sex scenes with a character or not, and there's no other "gameplay". I'm not saying this is a bad thing, some people might prefer it, but its definitely not for me, I prefer something more interactive. Regardless, even if its not my cup of tea, I'd say the overall quality of this VN is pretty good.

So far, I really like the game Killer7. But figured I'd give my criticisms to help make the game better.
1) I know that renders and the animation and stuff is really time consuming and such, but perhaps some different positions when they have sex? There's basically 4 different positions and that's all they do. The same for sleeping positions, they're all in the exact same pose.
2) The grammar is pretty.. Tough. For the most part, it's easily understandable but there's quite a bit that can be polished up.
3) The timing of stuff. Everything is extremely sped up it seems. Contains spoilers here *************SPOILER************ Like when Sandra gets pregnant. He's been there just 2 months, and she's already had her period twice and already was going on her third time, and then already pregnant before the third one. Not to mention it takes more than a few days to start getting pregnant and then miss your period. Usually a pregnancy test won't even pick up on possible pregnancy unless she's been pregnant for about 6-7 days already. And they literally just started trying like 3 days ago in the game.
4) There's a few places in the game where the text doesn't match up (it seemed like) or perhaps the dialogue was messed up and could use some more commas. Like one part it seemed like MC and one of the FMCs were talking about MC's father or something, and they used MC's name to refer to the father.
That is because this is just a story! I keep forgetting that myself, too. It's not supposed to be a real life documentary. Though, the part about it being incest is totally false. I mean, they are all STEP sisters, or cousins, etc. The only true blood relation he has is with Becca (his Landlady/Mother.) Hell, if it was they would cause all sorts of problems! Anyway, as you have only started playing, I would say carry on with it. BTW, did you get the patch that changed it from Landlay, tenant etc. to the proper titles? It makes the game so much better! As I am not a girl, I do not know about how periods work, so I guess I will have to agree with you on that one! Hope it was ok to reply! Killer7 VERY rarely does!
Yeah, I got the patch that has the proper titles. While I don't really care if it's incest or not, I've never been a fan of the whole "tenant/landlord" thing. Just really breaks the story for me. And haha, nah man. They're half-siblings. They are blood related. Step-siblings are only related by marriage, so no blood connection, where half-siblings have one of the same parents. In this case, for Sandra and Lucy, it's through Becca, and for Alice, it's through the MC's father. So they are all officially blood related, so it's very much true incest lol. None of the step-sibling porn that people make lol.
Yeah, I understand it's a story. Just breaks that immersion though when timelines are a bit condensed. And yeah, periods are a bit tricky. Usually every 3-4 weeks is when it starts up again. So it's not always exactly 4 weeks before it happens again on the dot, but periods are usually pretty regular unless something happens. So it's pretty crazy when Sandra is having a period like every 2 to 2.5 weeks lol
Yeah, the whole tenant/landlord thing threw me for a loop. I was always told that true blood relations are only kids who have the same mother and father. So, if a mother has sex with 2 different father then the kids are not blood related. Oh well, you learn something new every day, and, thinking about it I guess it makes sense. I am not really bothered by the whole incest thing, either. Well, I may be in real life but I doubt it! I am a pretty laid back guy. Like my favourite VN's are true lesbian titles with no men in the story whatsoever. But they are pretty hard to come by. Well, in the "realistic looking character" form, anyway. The cartoony ones are quite plentiful. My favourite ones are Kindred Spirits - On The Roof, (quite expensive and long, but worth it for me,)and two free ones, First Snow and I can't Believe The Most Popular Girl In School Is A Lesbian Just Like Me (which is a gorgeous story!) just like First Snow is too! And, yes, you are right about the immersion. Again, it was with the tenant/landlord bit with me. Thank you for the reply.
I think if you check out the discord you would see that the grammar is fine for the most part. It's just how I word things and my proofreader keeps that in, there is no reason to nitpick about that since I'm not a native english speaker :P.
And the pacing is not really sped up. Ingame weeks are six days instead of seven and the Pregnancy with Sandra already started during the vacation - That's when she said she will stop taking the pill. So, about 3 ( ingame ) weeks later, she doesn't get her period when she is supposed to and makes pregnancy tests. It all matches up if you read everything carefully ;).

Ah, that makes a little more sense with weeks being six days versus seven. I wasn't really confused about the timing of her pregnancy, really. It was more that it seemed she was having more periods for a month and a half or two months worth of time than would seem normal. Though, women are all different so I don't really know lol. So I have completed Chapter 9, and, to be honest it's OK. So why did it take me to chapter 9 to find that out? I don't know. Maybe I thought it would get better. But, all Sandra and M.C. do is either have sex. go to bed and shower together. And then, Sandra leaves him all day to go and do something else! If she had a job it would be more believable. So, MC has to find about 12 more other women to have sex with! Couldn't he at least go with Sandra sometimes? Or maybe get another hobby besides impregnating half the women in the US!? Sandra treats him like a lap dog! I think she is totally wrong for him I do not like her very much at all. Now Sun or Maddie on the other hand would be perfect for the MC! I really love their characters, especially Maddie and wish Killer7 put her as MC's love interest instead. Well, I guess she is in a way, but then, so are about 12 other women! The MC would have 12 kids with 12 different women if he got them all pregnant. And what about Sun? Does Sandra even know about MC and her and then there's Soo! Man there is more sex in here than an hour long porno! But I guess that's what makes this a STORY! It's so unbelievably far fetched that it would never happen in real life! In fact, it's the most unbelievable and far fetched Visual Novel I have read. I guess that's why I got Chapter 9. But, whether I carry on with it I am not sure. But I do like the characters in this one. They do look quite realistic. And so do the body parts! Thanks Killer7! ALso, sorry for SOOOOO many comments! I deeply apologise!
Personally, I would say that Sandra is filling the role of housewife, the family matriarch, which is a full-time job. I admit she does seem a little 2-D, but she just spends so much time shuttling between family members, trying to keep the family together.
OK< but she never offers to take him with her when she goes anywhere! She says something like, "we will have more time tomorrow, " and it never happens. She buggers off somewhere else without him. Even when she went to Elaine's she went without him. And I thought she wanted them to do more bonding. No, sorry, to me, Sandra is the worst choice for a wife. She seems quite selfish actually. It should be Sun or Maddie. My money would love to be on Sun! She is amazing! I loved her character from the very start and her whole family was amazing too! But, as mentioned before it IS only a story. And I did play chapters 8,9 and 10. At least there is a little more story in those and not just sex! Oh well. On to the next!

All characters 18+. Lucy's story is by far my favorite. Have gone through whole story so far (17 chapters). Am eagerly awaiting the next release.
EVERY girl you meet is a potential love interest, the game is a harem so you can get ALL girls at once. The only girl you have to get 100% is Sandra, after that you can decide if you want Lucy, Alice, Maddie, Becca, Mary and Elaine as well. All the household girls are Love Interests ;).
And Sandra knows about ALL girls you meet. Sun even meets her later in the game and they talk to each other. There is no secrecy between MC and any girls that he sees - Lucy even knows he keeps dating Tanja ( if you go that route ).
Sorry to keep asking questions, but, when I was playing the gane Killer7 jumped in and said that I hadn't gone down the Lucy route. But, I never saw a Lucy route. Now I am on chapter 4 and on vacation and Lucy is still a little cold towards me. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to get the Lucy route. I know I might have to go back towards the start of the game, but I do not mind that. I never saw anything about it in the game. I have ALWAYS chosen to be nice and never nasty to anyone. Not even Tanja, even though I with there was an option to defend Lucy. Thank you very much! PS, thanks for the update to change the family members back to their proper titles! I don't know if you got this yet, but EVERY choice made should be the top one - except for the second quiz. Lucy's story arc is brilliant.
That was where I made my mistake then. I got all the answers correct on the second quiz. I had to look them up though. I never realised you had to get them wrong. As for the choosing every top choice I did that from the start, I think! Maybe on next play through I will get Lucy's route. But I can't see that happening for a few days. I do not find the story engaging enough to play it through again so soon. I have A few more VN's I want to try out first. The City Of Broken Dreamers looks really good. So does Depraved Awakenings. And then there's Childhood Friends, C.L.I.T. LOL So many! But thank you for the reply.

You misunderstand: to get the good routes, choose the 1st option every time EXCEPT for the second quiz. You need to get those right for Maddie's route.
I am a bit weirded out. I have just started playing this it feels really strange. What is with this Landlady/Landlord, Tenant thing? You only, usually have a Landlord/Landlady when you rent a property, not when you are 4 years old. This is weird! They are usually your parents or guardians when you are a child. And why did he call Sandra household and half roommate? Didn't he really mean step-sister? Is there something I have missed? I know it's a strange thing and it looks quite a good game so far, but these terms are freaky and putting me off playing.
It's due to Patreons rules. And a bit of a workaround on the incest thing. It is rather confusing at times, but you get used to it. Some of the words have multiple meanings as well. For instance, landlord can either be father, or parents.

Not that strange of a question, I myself was wondering the same at first. Many of the relationships get changed. Aunt, niece, nephew>neighbor; cousin>friend; brother, sister, siblings>roommate(s); mom, mother>landlady; old landlady/landlord>grandma/grandpa, etc. And all the girls (mom, sisters, aunt, cousin) are blood relatives. It is a great game though, I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Even throws you on the feels train.

Honestly, just finished .14 and I loved it, good laughs, good drama, good scenes, and awesome characters, I thought it would he weird but this game made me immersed in the characters and the world they live in, they had different personalities and managed to make me laugh. One of the best visual novels I have played (with sexual content) on itch.io. 10/10
Every time i try i cant seem to continue the Fiona path, so when i reach the path line with Tanja it says i cant follow this path due to not continuing with fiona. Am i missing something? Are there curtain decisions i need to make for this to work?

how to change version 0.14 to version 0.17 in mobile
Finish 0.14 on your phone, then, depending on your android version you have to do the following:
Android 11: Navigate to Android/Data/my.n.family/files/saves folder, copy all files into a different folder and delete the app. Then install 0.17, start it once and close the app. Then navigate back into the folder and put the save files in there again
Android 10 or below: You can just delete 0.14 ( if you saved at the end like the game told you to ) and then install 0.17 and continue with that savegame.

If the saves folder doesn't show up you can just try to start a new game. The game will give you a error message but you can still hit "Menu" on the bottom and save. Then exit the app and copy your backed up save files into the Android/Data/my.n.family/files/saves folder

Did you download recently? I updated the pc, mac and android versions using an older version of renpy, this should fix most issues.

To clarify: 0.14 includes chapters 1-9, 0.17 includes chapters 10-12, which appears to be all of the content currently. Hope that helps.

I'm facing a serious problem with multiple games.... I just want to know whether this is my phone pixel 4 xl's problem or something with the software with which the game is made.
I played the entire game until .16 update. Then i downloaded and installed the .17 update. Once I did that the game opens, but gets stuck up on the opening page where there are options to start, load etc. No matter how many times I try pressing any of the options there is no reaction. So then I once again downloaded .14 version.
Then I installed it and it was working. But when i install the .17 update again, the whole above mentioned problem repeats. Killer, I'd like your opinion on this as well.

Yes.... I had played until 0.16, then i downloaded 0.17 and installed where this problem started.... Then after uninstalling the whole thing I downloaded 0.14 and installed it and that version is working just fine.... But when I installrd 0.17 on top of 0.14 the problem started.... It must have something to do with the renpy software or it's updates....
Try deleting any old version of the game you might have.

No, it's not Ren'py, it's Android 11 fucking up. You need a file browser app to locate your savefiles now. The persistent savefiles also won't work anymore with Android 11, so you have to manually back them up etc :/.
I have an app built in which lets me find the data file and save those files to another folder or external storage, the problem is pasting them back to the data folder, it doesn't allow you to do that.... What a fucked up situation I'm in.... But you told to the other guy that you downgraded the re'npy version and again uploaded the file right.... Can you do that to the android version of the file as well killer, because there is something still bugging me... If it is Android 11's fault, then why is it that 0.14 version is working fine but not 0.17.... Even your previous upload 0.16 was working well... When was your re'npy software updated... Was it after you released 0.16 or before.... Can you please do us this favor, I'll be grateful..... It'll help you fix similar problems in the future.... Coz, you know, sooner or later everyone's gonna update their phone to Android 11 eventually....
